HOW IT WORKS
Everything in Divine is designed to get you from “curious” to “in a conversation” with the fewest possible steps. Here’s what each piece does.
STEP ONE
The shortest, most adult onboarding we could design. You're talking to other people within a minute or two of opening the app.
Pick whatever is easiest. Apple, Google, or email sign-in does the auth, so we never see a third-party password. Your sign-in stays with your provider.
Divine is adults only. You attest at sign-up, complete face verification, and we may use age-estimation on top of that. If we can't confirm an account is 18+, the account doesn't unlock.
A few photos, a name, gender, age, location, what you're looking for, and a short bio. Keep it lean — you'll do most of your talking on a live call.
Microphone access is required for voice features. Camera unlocks photo upload and face verification. Location helps surface nearby people. Notifications keep you in the loop for incoming calls and messages. You can change any of these in your device settings at any time.
VOICE MATCH
The headline feature. You tap a single button. We connect you to another user who tapped the same button. Either of you can leave anytime.
The match orb on the home tab is the only thing standing between you and a call. Tap once. You go into a queue. Most matches connect within seconds, depending on how many users are searching at the same time.
The call opens with both microphones live. No video. No pre-screening of profiles. The point is to meet someone the way you'd meet them at a bar — by hearing them first.
Tap to disconnect at any time, for any reason. We treat that as the default, not as rude. You don't owe anyone a reason.
If you both liked the call, you can connect. If only one of you did, nothing happens. If neither of you did, the call ends — and you both move on with no record either way.
To keep the queue healthy and abuse manageable, each account gets a daily allowance of matches and re-matches. Quotas reset every 24 hours. Divine Plus and Premium lift these.
SPACES
Public audio rooms hosted by other users. Open a Space and you're listening. Raise a hand and you might end up speaking.
The Spaces tab shows you what's happening right now — rooms hosted around interests, late-night chat, language exchange, debate, music, whatever the community is running.
Anyone can join as a listener. To speak, raise your hand; the host can pull you up. The host decides who has the floor.
Create a Space, set a title, pick a topic, and start. Co-hosts can help moderate. Hosts have the ability to mute, remove, or block at any time.
Speaking in a Space is a live broadcast. We don't record audio. Neither should you — recording without consent of all participants violates our Terms and may violate wiretap laws where you live.
CLANS
If Voice Match is meeting someone new, and Spaces is a live room of strangers, Clans are the thing in between: persistent groups built around what you actually care about.
Browse Clans by topic — late-night insomniacs, language exchange, anime, philosophy, coding, music — and join the ones that fit.
Clans support text chat, voice messages, and (in some Clans) live voice rooms. Pick what works for the moment.
Each Clan has admins who set rules consistent with our Community Guidelines. Divine also moderates the wider platform, but the people running a Clan are responsible for its day-to-day tone.
POSTS & STORIES
Divine is not a creator platform. The posts and Stories surface exists so the people you've actually connected with can share what's going on — not for chasing reach.
Share a thought or a photo with your followers. People can comment and react. Like the rest of the App, no sexual or explicit content.
Photo or video moments that vanish from public view 24 hours after posting. Backups are removed on the next housekeeping pass. We don't archive Stories for you to scroll later — they're meant to be ephemeral.
The Explore tab surfaces a small selection of public posts and Stories so you can find people you'd actually want to talk to. Algorithm is intentionally simple — no engagement-maximizing feed.
MESSAGES
Messaging is for keeping a conversation going after a voice match, a Space, or a Clan. Same conduct rules apply in private as in public.
Standard chat. Inline reactions, replies, image attachments. Read receipts are on by default and can be turned off.
Sometimes a tone of voice is the message. Tap and hold to record, release to send. Recipients can pause, scrub, and play at different speeds.
From any chat, start a one-on-one voice call. This is different from voice match — it's a call with someone you've already connected with.
Long-press a message, tap the user's avatar, or open the chat options. Block hides them from you permanently and prevents them from contacting you. Report sends the message to a human moderator.
GIFTS
Gifts are a way to say 'I enjoyed that' — during a call, on a profile, in a Space. They're virtual, optional, and never obligate the recipient to do anything in particular.
Tap the gift icon to send something while you're talking. It plays a small animation for both of you and shows in the other person's gift log.
Gifts are paid for with coins, purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Coins have no cash value and aren't transferable.
Gifts are not a payment for services and never imply an in-person meeting or any other obligation. Using gifts to coerce, pressure, or solicit is against our Community Guidelines.
PLANS
Divine is free. Paid plans unlock more matches per day, ad-free, and a few quality-of-life perks. They don't move you up a queue, change moderation, or let you skip the rules.
Everything Divine is about — voice match, Spaces, Clans, posts, messages — with a daily cap on the most-loaded features and occasional ads in the feed.

Subscriptions auto-renew through the App Store or Play Store and can be canceled at any time from your account settings on the respective store. Refunds follow the platform's policies.
SAFETY
A real-time voice product needs a higher trust floor than a chat app. Here's what we built in from day one.
A live selfie scan confirms you're a real human and not a stolen photo. Verification partners may also return an age estimate.
Every photo upload runs through automated moderation before it reaches anyone else. Persistent attempts to evade moderation end the account.
One tap to block. Every report goes to a human reviewer. Reports related to child safety and imminent harm jump the queue.
Divine enforces an 18+ minimum on every account. See our Child Safety policy for the specifics.
We don't record voice match or Spaces audio. Users are required not to either.
